    No one needs to know  Anything about the show  He had already made up his mind  And could pretend to be kind  By learning how to go with the flow 

  • Coyote

    Loud music blaring  Sounds like coyotes howling  Bluebirds sing softly 

  • Baking

    After the pie exploded  He realized the instructions were coded  By not reading directions  He missed the obvious connections  Not knowing the boss was loaded 

  • Starlight

    Bright shimmering stars  Leading me away from him  And back to myself 

  • Explorer

    He always thought himself an explorer  When really he as a very loud snorer  He needed to sit and decompress  To get better at chess  Then he could become an adorer 

  • Lies

    Muddied mystery  Hiding truths.  Facts.  Denials.  Leaving me behind. 

  • Expand

    Happiness expands  Like flowers blooming in spring  Radiating calm 

  • Sing

    Forget I said anything  Maybe pretend I can sing  I need to tell a story  And all its love and glory  Could maybe be better than a bee sting 

  • Sins

    Writing poetry for my sins  Was like sitting on top of pins  Everyone wanted me to stop  But that would only happen when I did pop  Or grew a pair of fins 

  • Fears

    In the last fifteen years  He never learned anything about beers  After all this time tending bar  He could barely light a cigar  Which did nothing to dampen his fears
