The Shoe

Shoe

When I found the shoe behind my car, I knew who it belonged to and why it was there.  It was Jake and he was trying to pull another prank over on me.  But this time, I wasn’t going to fall for it.  I steadfastly went on with my life and pushed Jake out of my mind.  As the days passed, I started to wonder.  Was it really a prank?  If it wasn’t a prank, why was there a shoe lying in the driveway?  The day the police showed up was the day I knew I should have paid attention.

Maybe it was from Jake but in a way that will give her nightmares. The ending to your story leaves me uneasy.

The lack of attention has caused many problems, but that is being human and not an Ai

This touches a cord with me, as I always seem to wonder if things mean something deeper and whether I should avoid them or investigate them. You’re captured that uneasy feeling…
