The Laundromat

PHOTO PROMPT © Miles Rost

I didn’t know how much time I spent at the laundromat, but it was enough.  Enough to make me feel like a bit of a failure, but also reminded me I had come so far. I spent much of my free time in laundromats doing other people’s laundry. I had to pay my rent somehow and at least I could do my work while I waited. As soon as I made my break and my book was published and the world knew all the secrets I did, everything I wanted would be mine. I knew what I had to do.
