At first, I thought the catalog must be wrong. Hadn’t I diligently checked and rechecked every single entry? I knew the library was used all day every day and I had spent months, years even to make sure all the books, audiobooks, DVDs, that everything was entered correctly. But now, there was an unexplained addition to the collection. A book about witchcraft and the first chapter gave all the details on how to conjure spirits.
The more I read, the more I wondered how this book had made it into the stacks. It was ancient and because of its condition, it was not a book I would have left on the shelf for long. I wanted to have open access to all books, but this one was looking a little on the raggedy side. I opened my computer and began searching for a replacement. The information this book contained was too good to be true. I don’t know how it had gotten into my library and not the archives on the other side of town.
I wasn’t a huge believer in witchcraft and spells, but maybe I should check witchcraft out and see if anything would or could come of it. I knew the first potion I was going to try would be a love potion. Jamie would never know what hit him. Swoon.
