Smile

When he smiled at me, I knew things were over.  Jeremy never smiled.  But I did start to wonder what his intentions were.  I don’t think he realized I knew something was going on – he was far too arrogant to admit to himself someone could figure him out.  I decided to play his game just to see where he would take me.  I had been bored ever since Scott had moved away and needed something to keep me out of trouble.  But there was always the potential this would put me into the line of fire.  No one was around to keep me in check so I decided to go with the flow and see where it took me.

Three weeks in and I knew I was in over my head.  Never had I encountered someone who was as diabolical as Jeremy. I was terrified, but I didn’t know who to turn to for help. Jeremy was so charming, I didn’t think anyone would believe me. Wouldn’t believe what he had done. Three women were missing and I knew they had seen him last. Had gone on dates with him before they vanished in plain sight. I knew if I didn’t stop him soon, I would be the next body found on the beach. It was now or never and I knew I had only one shot to get it right.
