“I was uncomfortable from the beginning. I didn’t want to be there from the moment we walked into the party.” Erika turned on her blinker and I knew she was trying to act nonchalant, but I could see her trying to gauge my reaction out of the corner of her eye. I knew she would probably agree with whatever I had to say.
“Why didn’t you say something? I would have left with you if you were uncomfortable being there. I would have been happy to leave. I don’t think it’s ever necessary to be uncomfortable at a party.” I wasn’t sure if she would take me seriously or not.
I had really actually wanted to go to the party at Peter’s house, but originally hadn’t thought Erika was going to go in the first place. She had a myriad of responses when the invite came around. Her parents were going to be in town. She had a big test the next day. Her boyfriend was not feeling well. She was about to start her period. I think she only came to the party because I thought something big was going to happen.
Something big had happened. The only problem was neither of us had expected was the events of the night had surrounded Erika. The only problem with Erika was, I think she planned the fight with Scott. Planned the fight so Scott would break up with her and not find out she was cheating. With his brother.
