On my first day of sixth grade, I realized it could be the best first day of school I could ever have. Jeremy was in my homeroom class and I luckily ended up with the locker next to his. I have had a crush on him for as long as I can remember and thought how lucky I was to be able to see him on a regular basis during the school hours.
But since it was only the first day, so I figured I had plenty of time to make sure he remembered my name. By the end of lunch, I thought I knew how to get his attention. I have two older brothers who play so I thought I could start a conversation on the way to the bus stop about my favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. Before I could even make it to the bus stop, I found a note in my locker and my heart skipped a beat.
I didn’t open it on the bus because I wanted to enjoy the note especially since I knew it had to be from Jeremy. No one else even knew which locker was mine. I made it to the bus without tripping over myself with excitement. It wasn’t until I got home that I took the note out of my backpack and carefully opened it.
“Dear Jeremy…” it started. My heart sank. It was a love letter TO Jeremy. From my best friend.
