fyp – Kate Cornwell: Stories of my life

Be There

I wanted to know Why you were not here for me I wish I knew why

I want to say no You were not available Do not ask questions

You know what it means No one asked any questions Never asking why

You were deceiving Before you did fake me out You didn’t tell me

Tears always falling Neverending soft sadness Overlapping pain

Never to deny Be sure to bury your dreams But in a safe place

All I did was cry Because of the rumors you spread All are coming down

Don’t bow down to him We don’t have to play this game Please never look back

Please don’t ask me why I loved my future. Not you. Neverending quest.

When the lights go dark Who’s talking down about you Remember your soul
