Stranded

PHOTO PROMPT © Jennifer Pendergast

As I looked to the vaulted ceiling, stained glass and lights, I thought about what my life would be like if I wasn’t stranded.  In this church.  I had come to town with good intentions, but even the best intentions don’t always turn out.  My idea of a new life bit the dust as soon as I arrived.  Only because Ted was here.  I knew he had moved on with his life, I obviously just didn’t know where he had ended up.  He would and could ruin me.  I just needed to make sure I ruined him first.

I like your easy-going writing style. Sounds like she’s at a turning point. Hoping things go her way.
