The Snowfall

PHOTO PROMPT © Jennifer Pendergast

I knew there was a problem as soon as I opened my eyes.  The meteorologists had finally been correct and the snow had fallen fast and covered everything.  I now knew I would not be able to leave.  To flee.  I was desperate to get out of the house and finally go home, but now I knew there was no way.  If only I had left yesterday when I first wanted to I would be on the way to my new life.  But now I was stuck.  Stuck with George with no plans for my future.

In this neck of the woods that wouldn’t be a problem by tomorrow. Let’s hope it’s the same there.

What Neil said. Surely it won’t last forever?

Kate, it feels like she’s hit a low point. It can only go up from here. May she find a way…
