The Museum

I knew immediately Scott had made the glass sculpture.  He had tried to change his style, but wasn’t completely successful.  Why he was making new art at all was beyond me.  He was supposed to be hiding, not projecting to the world he was still alive.  The only thing I had to do was to find out where he was ‘hiding’.  Which wouldn’t be hard because he always craved attention.  Being an artist was the perfect way for him to insert himself into the spotlight.  If he wasn’t dead by the time I found him, I would kill him myself.

You left me wondering why kill him. Is it because the value of art sometimes increases after the demise of the creator?

I like your strong voice in this. Scott’s ego may be his end.

It seems Scott is his own worst enemy. I wonder if he knows how easy to find he is. I like the unexplained mystery in this. I’m imagining all sorts of scenarios preceding this, and wondering about the narrator’s motivation.

I love the tension between needing to be in hiding and wanting to be seen! I want to keep reading… 🙂
