Tiny Ninja

“I always knew you were a ninja,” I said, putting my hand over my heart.  I had been preparing myself for this exact moment, but I had totally failed.

I knew Lori had been planning this prank for weeks and I knew I should have seen the signs along the way.  Because this was more than just a simple prank.  This had almost ended our friendship.  It might still be the end, I just needed to decide how far I was going to take it.  How upset was I really?

Lori laughed as she backed out of my kitchen.  It wasn’t until I heard her car door slam that I started to breathe again.  As I looked around my kitchen, I started to realize the lengths Lori went through to scare me this time.  The more details I found, the more I realized the amount of time Lori had spent inside my house.

Before I realized what I was doing, I was searching the loose floorboards for my passport and social security card.  They were gone and chances were, so was Lori.  The only thing in my favor was the information was false.
