The Porch Dance

PHOTO PROMPT © Dale Rogerson

As I watched the shadows on the porch dance, I knew this would be the last normal day I had. Household items had been slowly disappearing for weeks and as hard as I tried, I couldn’t figure out to where. I had known we wouldn’t stay long, but I was hoping this time, we would stick around for a while. But I also knew I wasn’t going with them. I silently packed my small  backpack and climbed out my bedroom window. The ghosts were still there and they were still calling to me. As they had been my entire life.

Very mysterious. It feels like a turning point for the main character. Hoping it works out for her.

One must heed the call. Nicely done.

Oh, my. I hope she isn’t a child but at least an older teen who knows how to protect herself. She could be going from bad to worse!
