  • Trial

There will not be a fair trial  But all I can do is smile  The longer I keep wasting  When I find myself hating  As long as I don’t have to run a mile

  • Earth

Mother Earth counted the cost  Of everything she had lost  Between the sun and the moon  The end would come too soon  All we do is act like our hearts are covered with frost

  • Heart of Love

Welcome to the heart of loneliness  If you were only one to confess  Did you really see my future?  Or was the truth in the suture  Because you acted like Your Holiness

  • Protection

He said everything was about training  Even when the fire was flaming  But the apple of my eye  Was floating through the clear blue sky  My heart he was taming

  • They said the daughters didn’t matter

When the final votes were counted  No concerns were mounted  The men made all the decisions  With no room for revisions  With all women’s opinions were discounted

  • Journalism

When I finally decided to report the facts  I worried about the old contracts  Did they tell the truth  Or did they have enough time to sleuth?  About the best artifacts

  • From the Heart

Everything started with an inkling  As the stars had just started twinkling  Searching for the fairies  With their nests full of berries  While their dreams are lingering

  • Good Options

He didn’t know which way to turn  With so many new ideas to learn  He decided to go with the last prompt  So he wouldn’t feel so swamped  Or his mind would begin to throb and burn

  • Unexpected Turn

As soon as the wrong turn was taken  My father did manage to awaken  To tell me I was wrong  And at the sound of the gong  He told me I was mistaken

  • Enraptured

He has been captured  But if I wasn’t so enraptured  I maybe could have helped  If you had not yelped  But our relationship was already fractured
