  • Journalism

When I finally decided to report the facts  I worried about the old contracts  Did they tell the truth  Or did they have enough time to sleuth?  About the best artifacts

  • From the Heart

Everything started with an inkling  As the stars had just started twinkling  Searching for the fairies  With their nests full of berries  While their dreams are lingering

  • Good Options

He didn’t know which way to turn  With so many new ideas to learn  He decided to go with the last prompt  So he wouldn’t feel so swamped  Or his mind would begin to throb and burn

  • Unexpected Turn

As soon as the wrong turn was taken  My father did manage to awaken  To tell me I was wrong  And at the sound of the gong  He told me I was mistaken

  • Enraptured

He has been captured  But if I wasn’t so enraptured  I maybe could have helped  If you had not yelped  But our relationship was already fractured

  • Soul

Within the niceties of the church  I went on a soul search  Especially down by the beach  My life was out of your reach  I knew you wouldn’t understand my research

  • Shocked

When the frog jumped into the pond  The toad couldn’t respond  He was so shocked  When the lily pad talked  That all he did was pull out his wand

  • The Ball

He would play any game that required a ball  Especially when the leaves did fall  Never wanting to go inside  Except from a bully when he needed to hide  Only then did he feel small

  • Treasure Chest

Birds tweeting their displeasure  When I found out about their treasure  They only wanted me to leave  But I had tricks up my sleeve  I couldn’t live up to the pressure

  • Space

When I look up at the stars  I was really looking for Mars  From the warmth of my sleeping bag  Shooting stars started to lag  To the sound of the neighbors’ guitars
