  • Space

When I look up at the stars  I was really looking for Mars  From the warmth of my sleeping bag  Shooting stars started to lag  To the sound of the neighbors’ guitars

  • Mirror

I saw the ghost in the mirror  And it sent me running out to clear her  The image was burned in my mind  But I also wondered if she was kind  I wish I had seen her clearer

  • Boats

Everyone thought he was boring  For all the words he was storing  For the poems he wrote  All about the boat  When the rain started pouring

  • Grey Skies

I tried to send her away  To look out over the bay  I only wanted to leave  So I could finally get a reprieve  Because the skies were turning grey

  • Obsessed

He was an honorable man  Who had always been obsessed with Batman  When he got into trouble  He started seeing double  When he saw the twin doorman

  • Bee Sting

On the day he hurt his knee  He said he only wanted to talk to me  But instead, he sat outside  And tended to his wounded pride  To admit he had been stung by a bee
