As I watched the elk, I knew my life was in for a change. I knew what Jackson’s future held and there was no space in my future for him. All he knew how to do was to hold me back. At first, I thought his questions were sweet as if he was wanting to get to know me. His questions morphed into how he could control me. His final screaming question of WHY would forever be lost as he lay in his final resting place. With a rock as his pillow and the moon as his nightlight.
