The Ultimate Freeze

Photo Prompt © Jennifer Pendergast

As soon as the water in the bowl froze, I knew I was in trouble. That lonely bowl of water was the only thing keeping me tethered to my future. The only thing keeping hope alive. Now that I couldn’t drink the water, I slowly looked up and out the nearest window. What I saw couldn’t have surprised me more. Not only because something or someone was outside in this weather, whoever or whatever it was, was walking right toward my small and frozen cottage.
