Santa Fe Humane Society Dog Park (03/24/2022)
The first time I had met a stranger on the trail and I was alone, I didn’t think I was going to make it home alive. I had been walking the back roads for years and had never had a problem. Until the day I did. October 5, 2016. A date that will be forever etched in my brain. As I left for my regular walk, I felt the hairs on the back of my neck, but on that fateful day I chose to ignore my gut. And by ignoring my gut, Lovie and I were instantly both in danger.
